About me

To come to teach to the treehousevillage is like a dream come true for the little boy who build his own treehouses as a kid. The peaceful surrounding will offer a great opportunity to tune in to our being beyond the chattering of our mind. We will do a mysore style practise in the morning. You will get plenty of adjustments from me and my wife Riitta. We will help you with all the challenges in your practise. It doesn't matter if your practise is a short one or the complete primary or the intermediate. If there is a need for a led practise, it will be provided. The main point is finding the harmony in what you do. The afternoon sessions will be dedicated to explore aspects of a painfree practise. The practise is supposed to be an expression of joy and pleasure of being in your body. This is not always the case, sometimes we encounter problems in form of pain and injuries. How to overcome these obstacles will be explored through anatomical understanding as well as using simple selftreatments I have learned as a bodyworker. Tecnical aspects of specific asanas will also be explored with humor and playfulness. We will enter the body with respect, understanding and a sense of humor.
In the evening we will come together to sit in silent meditation sensing the body using the Vipassana technic.
Short Biography

MSince highschool I have been interested in exploring different meditation techics starting with TM. Being a professional dancer gave me a lot more of understanding of what really is going on inside me. This in turn led me to take up the bodywork profession. I do a form of structural integration called Rebalancing. This was a bit closer to the source of life but the thirst of finding out more eventually made me try Ashtanga yoga. The first time was 1995 but it took me five years to start a regular practise. In 2002 I went for the first time to Lino Miele's retreat and he has been my teacher and mentor ever since. I have been teaching Ashtanga as a main profession since 2003. Every year I return to Lino's retreats and workshops to keep me on the right track. Also inspired by Lino I took, together with my wife Riitta, the Vipassana 10-days meditation retreat in 2003. It was an wonderful experience that made sense to all the previous meditation techics I had studied my whole life. Today the Vipassan meditation goes hand in hand with my Ashtanga practise.
